HPC Elite Team brings home wins at big meets

Mike Young helped me set and reach challenging personal fitness goals. With the help of his expertise in the weight room and on the track, I learned new events, set new personal bests, and returned to compete in track and field at a high level after a substantial absence from the sport.

HPC Elite Team brings home wins at big meets

The entire HPC Elite Team was in action this weekend and had some impressive showings. Dallas Robinson competed against some of the best sprinters in the world at the Razorback Invitational and brought home a 2nd place finish in the 200m (21.25) and a 5th place showing in the 60m dash (6.71). Nick Newman won the long jump (7.07m) at the Boston Terrier Classic to extend his winning streak to 3 meets and remain unbeaten on the season. Tiina Magi traveled to Princeton, NJ where she earned her third victory of the season by winning the women's triple jump at the Princeton Relays with a performance of 12.94m.

Tiina and Nick win at Gotham Cup

HPC Elite Team members Tiina Magi and Nick Newman competed in the Gotham Cup track meet at the NYC Armory. Nick won the men's long jump with a seasonal best jump of 7.33m to stay undefeated on the year. Tiina won the women's triple jump with a mark of 12.97m.

Robinson among world’s best

HPC Elite team member Dallas Robinson turned in stellar performances this weekend at the Kentucky Invitational. His times of 6.64s in the 60m and 21.10s in the 200m place him 4th and 1st in the world performance list over those distances through Jan 12. Congrats to Dallas on the wins and the great performances!

HPC Elite Team DOMINATES

All members of the HPC Elite were in action this weekend and dominated their competition. Dallas Robinson turned in commanding sprint performancs at the University Kentucky by winning the 60m dash in 6.64s and taking the 200m sprint in 21.10 seconds. At the time of these performances, the 60m dash ranks 5th in the world and first among American runners. Robinson's 200m performance put him atop the world charts in the furlong. These are both big PRs for Dallas and should be a hint of much bigger things to come. In other action, Tiina Magi took second in the women's triple jump with 12.79m and Nick Newman won the men's long jump with a best of 7.17m in the Crowell Open at West Point. Not to be outdone, Lamont Dagen won the men's triple jump at the Carthage College Opener with a jump of 15.65m.
